NUS President Tan Chorh Chuan and Dean Simon Chesterman hosted a Dialogue Lunch with Law School alumni on 21 May 2012.
In their continuing effort to engage with Law School alumni, NUS President Tan Chorh Chuan and Dean Simon Chesterman recently met with a selection of Law School alumni over lunch. (President Tan holds regular dialogue lunches with small groups of alumni from the various faculties throughout the year.)
Alumni attending this session included TPB Menon ’61, Sat Pal Khattar ’66, Jeanny Ng’ 72, Lok Vi Ming SC ’86, Wong Peck Lin ’94, Jacqueline Chan ’98, Fong Wei Kurk ’01 and Charis Tan’ 07. Despite spanning five decades of graduating classes, these varied alumni were very much at ease bonding over common memories of their Law School experiences.
President Tan and Professor Chesterman described the latest developments at NUS over lunch, and our alumni shared their thoughts and suggestions on the future direction of NUS, and Law School in particular. The dialogue was both enjoyable and productive - it appears that the only regret of the day was that Peck Lin, who is co-owner of the Udders <http://www.udders.com.sg/the_udders_story> chain of ice-cream stores, had not brought along some of her ice-cream for dessert!
