Congratulations to Dr Francis Yeoh ’63 on receiving a PhD by Birkbeck Law School, University of London!

He shares with us some of his photos taken at the graduation ceremony, which was held on 25 April this year.

Paul Tan '05

Congratulations are in order for Paul Tan ’05 who has just been promoted to Partner at Rajah & Tann! His  appointment marks his return to the firm after a two-and-a-half year sabbatical in the UK.

He shares: “I would like to report that the exceptional grounding that the NUS Law School provided - and the skills learnt from debating for the university - has put me in good stead to achieve international success in my profession.” Three years ago, Paul received a Chevening scholarship from the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office to pursue postgraduate studies at the University of Oxford. Thereafter, he won a Singapore Academy of Law scholarship to undertake an extended placement with a barristers' chambers in London, Essex Court Chambers. While there, he had the opportunity to work with leading silks in commercial and public international law disputes.

Well done Paul, and we wish you all the best!


Warm welcome back to Singapore goes out to John Yip Hsien-Chang ’92! John was working as a bond documentation lawyer for two years, before taking up a Doctorate in Business Administration in Finance from Manchester Business School. He is currently into bonds origination. He says: “Great to be back after living everywhere but Singapore!”


The Class of 2013, who will soon be part of NUS Law's growing alumni, would like to send out wishes on the occassion of their graduation:
